In January 2007 I was featured in a local magazine called the Advocate. Please view/read the article below.

“Put A Cork In It Ask the Zalaznik Family their sentiments on home décor, and the response will be overwhelming, literally. The family’s home contains a copious amount of various collections, from guitars to guns. The front-runner of all their collections adorns the walls, rests on end tables and is found in all corners of the house: the corkscrew. The fascination started when Dave and Nancy purchased a few from a culinary store in Paris. The collection coincided with the couple’s love for wine, and once their son, James, aged a few years, he himself ripened into a corkscrew connoisseur far surpassing his parents’ expertise. Now, with more than 800 corkscrews, James uses ebay every day to buy and sell rare and vintage corkscrews, corking machines and barrel taps. “When I was in Europe last summer and couldn’t get Internet access for about a week, I looked at about a thousand corkscrews within an hour,” James says. “I know what to look for and what corkscrews are valuable.” Through this hobby, he’s since paid for half of a 2000 Cadillac Deville and a new gold-plated grill. As of late, his most prized possession is an 18th century-era prosthetic arm complete with a hand, fork, hook and corkscrew attachments.” Written by Lindsay Wilps
